More propulsion machinery orders placed
The contract for the supply of the main engines awarded to A/S Grenaa Motorfabrik includes provision of gearboxes and propellers. Grenaa have ordered the gearboxes from Reintjes GmbH of Hameln, Germany and the screws from Stone Marine Singapore (Pte) Limited, a member of the same Group as the well respected UK company Stone Manganese Marine Ltd.
Ian McMillan, Project Director, has visited the Reintjes factory and was impressed by their standard of work and organisation.
Progress by the contractor to date is highly satisfactory and is projected to meet the planned return to service date, 23 May 2003.
