Evening Cruise to Arran

Report by Linda & Nigel Rayner

On 14 May 2005 the Clyde River Steamer Club chartered the Waverley for an evening cruise from Largs to Brodick and along the north-east coast of Arran before returning to Largs via Brodick. It was a glorious spring evening as the Waverley headed south from Largs

Passing the western side of Little Cumbrae

As she approached Brodick, M.V. Caledonian Isles was departing on her evening run to Ardrossan.

The Waverley then cruised along the north east coast of Arran, passing Corrie & Sannox ....

...and heading into the sunset.

She turned off the Fallen Roacks to return to Brodick...

..and later steaming back towards Largs as dusk fell.
