We organise Social Activities mainly at the Guildhall, which could give you the opportunity to meet again some of your past friends and colleagues and make new friends.

Membership is open to

·        all retired members of staff of the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames

·        the widows and widowers of RBK staff and

·        pensioners retired from other Local Authorities now resident in the Royal Borough.

The Association provides opportunities for former staff members to keep in touch socially and to this end "Get-Togethers" are held in January and July, as well as coach outings and visits to various places of interest.  We also hold informal gatherings at The Kings Tun – the Wetherspoons pub in Clarence Street – several times a year.

The Annual General Meeting is held in March and there is usually a speaker after the brief formal business.

A Coffee Morning is held in October and this also usually has a speaker.

There are also days out by coach to places of interest.  In 2017 we visited Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Denbies Vineyard and Leeds Castle.  Our trips in 2016 visited the Museum of Brands, Loseley House Flower Show and Ightham Mote.  2015 saw visits to Jane Austin’s & Gilbert White’s Houses, the Bluebell Railway and Arundel Castle. In 2014 we visited The Geffrye Museum and The Ragged School in East London as well as the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum in Sussex and Hatfield House and Gardens. In 2013 we went to Bletchley Park, Sissinghurst Castle and The Royal Pavilion in Brighton.

The Association is represented on the RBK Pension Fund Panel by Chris Coke or Mike Belsham.  As a result of a request made by our representatives, a Summary Annual Pension Fund Report has been posted on the RBK web site.

You can join for £2 annually (£25 Life Membership).  Download the application form, or send a letter with the same details to:
